“We’re on the one road, sharing the one load, we’re on the road to God knows where.

We’re on the one road, it may be the wrong road, but we’re together now who cares.”

After the success of the recent Great Scottish Walk, where Heriot Watt & Edinburgh Universities CSC members raised approximately £1,000 for Casa Alianza, we have decided to organise our very own Sponsored Walk, and have already began setting the wheels in motion for our own  ”Stagger to Paradise”.

We are planning on walking from the International Bar to Celtic park. With all going to plan, we would leave the I.B. at approximately 8am on Friday 10th September, and, with a little luck arrive at Celtic Park in time to see Celtic play Hearts on Saturday 11th.

This would obviously involve an overnight stay, which will be arranged in due course. At present, we are hoping to arrange a wee soiree with our good friends from the Carfin Hibs Club. We would stay local, and then set off on the Saturday morning, from the Carfin Club on the final leg of our journey to Celtic Park.

We appreciate that this will be a mammoth undertaking, but believe that this is an event that has massive potential in terms of raising awareness for Casa in and across Scotland, as well as helping to raise some much needed funds for them.

We are hoping to make this a high-profile, memorable and fun event, so the more members we get to join in, the better. Please, give it your consideration.

If you are interested in participating, could you let me know, no later than August 1st.

Thanks,

Niall Hickey
