St Mirren / Membership Renewals

Hi All,
 
I have to order direct from St Mirren asap for tickets for the away game on Sun 14 Nov with a 2.00 Kick off. Please let me know by 31 August if you want one, I'm sorry about the very early deadline, I hate having to do this. The following 9 are down automatically for every away game so should just let me know if they can't make it. Tickets are £20.

31 August is the final date to pay membership, this will be the last email you will receive from the club unless you renew. Thanks very much to the 70 odd who have paid. Students can still pay at the upcoming Freshers Fairs. It is £10 adults, £3 students/unwaged/under 16s and cheques made payable to HWEUCSC.
 
If you don't have a cheque book, you can email me and I will give you account details to pay into.

 

 

Membership Renewals

Just a reminder below that membership is due for those who want to re-join, there has been a very slow response so far, only 3 cheques received and 40 members so far.
 
Members will receive priority on all tickets and bus fares are £2 cheaper. If you do not rejoin by 31 August you will be deleted from the email list and won't receive newsletters.
 

Membership renewals are now due, with the closing date being 31 August. For the umpteenth year fees are frozen, it is just £10 to join and £3 for students, unwaged and under 16s. You can send a cheque payable to HWEUCSC to Nick Wood, 3/4 Hopetoun Crescent, Edinburgh, EH7 4AY or pay at any game. Forms do not require to be completed as all club information is sent by email or will appear on our website.

 

Stagger to Paradise

Hi All,

 

You may have recently received an email regarding the Clubs latest Charity event – the 42 mile “Stagger to Paradise” (for full details, please see below). If anyone is interested, could they please respond over the weekend.

 

Also, if anyone is interested in partaking in the latter stage of the Walk, again could they please get in touch. This would involve joining up with the rest of the walking team on the morning of Saturday 11th at the Carfin Emerald Club, and walking the 10 miles to Celtic Park.  This will also include a pre-match parade inside Celtic Park.

Some new fixtures for August

Thurs 19 August - Celtic v Utrecht, bus 5.00 at IB, tickets are £20-25, please let me know by Tuesday if you want one.

Sunday 22 August - Celtic v St Mirren, bus 12.30, 4 tickets available at £22 each, £5 cheaper than Celtic!

Sunday 29 August - Motherwell v Celtic, 12.00 kick off, travel tbc, deadline is 15 Aug.

When sending emails for games I try to send to groups affected, so you aren't getting unnecessary emails. I believe everyone that received the following information does NOT have a season card at the moment or the few that may - do not ask the club for any tickets, please advise asap if you do get one or my information is wrong.
 
First few games -
 
Wed 4 Aug - Celtic v Braga, bus IB at 5.00, please let me know by Friday 23 July if you want a ticket, prices range from £22 - £30
 
Sun 8 Aug - Celtic V Blackburn, 3pm ko, so bus is 12.30 at the IB. Looks like plenty of new players to have a look at! This game is FREE on your season card as is the Braga game on Wed 4 Aug, when bus is 5.00, seats available for both. Extra Blackburn tickets available at only £14.

 

Sat 14 Aug - Inverness away, 12.15 ko, please let me know by 31 July if you want name down for a ticket if not already done so, which I think tickets will be very scarce, season card holders as ever get priority for away games.

Sat 21 Aug - St Mirren home, bus 12.30, tickets available at £22 each.


I should have mentioned, there is no need to complete new membership forms, as all club info and newsletters will be sent by email and on our website, so you can just send a cheque or pay at a game.

Committee Meeting Update

Paul Hunter, Steve Clarke and myself (Stuart MacBeath is on holiday) met on Thursday night for a commitee meeting to put things in place for the new season. I know Kieran Lafferty is interested in helping with Heriot Watt, but we really need a lot more help, so hard for 4 of us to do 10 jobs, so please let me know if you can make some sort of contribution.

Bus fares have had to be raised, as hire has increased and numbers are down, even with the new prices we will struggle to break even with only about 30 expected to go to every home game. New prices are £10 adults, £6 students/unwaged, £4 under 16s. This is in line with what other Celtic Supporters buses in Edinburgh have charged over the last few years so is unavoidable. We will not be doing football cards at the moment as that is another £1 and are trying to keep things as cheap as we can for you.
 
Club season cards will be charged at £22 per game and £30 for Huns games, again this is considerably cheaper than Celtic - at least £5 per game and only just covers our costs. There are 2 sets of 2 next to each other available for most games.
 
Match deadlines for requesting tickets are 2 weeks in advance as usual.
 
The website is being revamped and will have more up to date information to encourage members to access more and new line of merchandise which we are working on so it can be paid for online with us setting up paypal. A newsletter is being worked on and will be available before the first SPL game.
 
A general meeting will be organised in October after the latest influx of students from the Freshers Fayres and for you to give us your ideas on progressing your club.

All home games buses will continue to be at 12.30 on saturdays, huns will be 9.30. Looks like there will be 4 spare season cards available for each game.

Away games listed above will be easy to get tickets for with the exception of Inverness. If you would like your name automatically down for every away game in the season, please let me know.

The CL draw is next friday, details of this will be sent as soon as available along with membership renewal details.
