HWEUCSC FC 5 v 3 Athletico Dunfermline
Tommy Burns Supper Raises £5,000
Heriott Watt turned up for this game in a buoyant mood, despite the last game in 2009 ending in defeat. With a relatively strong line up, the mini hoops were confident they could get a positive result against their Fife opponents. The game kicked off in the quagmire that is the Jack Kane centre and we set about getting the result we desired. With Scott McGarva in goal the back 4 of Ross MacKay, Brendan Quinn, Michael Smith and Niall Hickey were a lot more confident in what was behind them considering we had the enigma Tesco Tony for the last game. - Full Report

As only 9 out of 168 members are not on email, the committee thinks that it makes sense to keep up with the times and send the club newsletter by email and put on the club website. Hard copies will be posted to the 9 members not on email and if you would prefer to still receive a hard copy, we will be happy to post this out to you. If this is the case, please email me your full home address by the end of this month. - Nick
The club is delighted to report that the last ever Tommy Burns supper raised a charity fund raising total of £5,000, which was made up of £4,000 raised on the night by the club, with an additional 25% contributed by the Celtic Charity Fund due to the proceeds from The Final Commemorative Tommy Burns Supper being challened through the CCF Supporters Fundraising Scheme. The funds raised were split evenly between the two dominated charities; Casa Alianza and the Tommy Burns Skin Cancer Trust. The HWEUCSC thanks everyone involved in this magnificent event.
Tommy Burns Supper Photos Online
Feeling down after watching Scott Brown shoehorned into the left back slot with 15 minutes on the clock? Waking up at night shaking with the memory of the John Barnes season? Unable to quite work out why Zheng Zhi is abducted after 20 minutes? Then have a look at the following addition to the photo collection and realise that no matter how bad it gets, we Celtic supporters know how to have a good time. Thanks to Ross MacKay and Brendan Quinn for the photos, even if Brendan's mainly consists of drunk Slaters and MacKay's tonsils. Photo Album.
